The repurposing and renovations to the Waterford Township Elementary School by its new owner Ulrich Builders LLC is a very special project to me, and my Company, Comfortworks Cooling and Heating. I had the good fortune to attend this school as a student and resident of Waterford Township in the 1960s. In recent years the school was used for many things other than a school for the township, as it was no longer able to be used as a school.
Ulrich Builders LLC purchased the building for use as their home office. Comfortworks Cooling and Heating, who has a long relationship with Ulrich Builders, was asked to provide the HVAC for this project. Let’s just say, we jumped at the opportunity! We perform services on all types and sizes of HVAC systems, but this one is special to us. We are passionate about the renewal of older properties with modern energy-efficient comfort systems.
We proposed to use all Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC ductless and ducted systems for this project. The building, while remaining true to its history on the outside, is completely updated inside. The building has the best insulation and energy efficiency measures installed with solar eventually coming soon. These measures made it a great candidate for modern electric comfort systems and all of the benefits they provide.
We proposed our concept to Kevin Ulrich, the owner of Ulrich Builders LLC who has experience with this type of system, and he agreed to our recommendations. He liked our concept and we completed this installation this fall 2022.
Follow along as we detail this project. . .
